About the community
The Ahead for Business online community forum is a private social networking platform for small business owners over the age of 18. The forum and any of its contents will not be publicly visible on the internet and can only be viewed by participants and Everymind project and communications staff employed on the project.
Eligible participants will be given access to the Ahead for Business online community forum after they have formally agreed to the guidelines for use of the site. Participants will need to read through the terms of conditions and formally agree to them before gaining access.
Participants can have their posts edited or deleted if they do not meet the requirements outlined in the group guidelines. Additionally, participants can have their access to the Ahead for Business forum suspended, or in more serious breaches of the group rules, terminated at the discretion of the moderator and project staff.
The site will be available for use seven days a week, 24 hours per day with moderators available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Outside of these hours, posts will be subject to review upon the next working business day. All emails or posts to moderators will be responded to within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Participants will be made aware from the outset that in the event of an emergency the moderators are not able to provide a crisis service. Details regarding emergency and crisis services will be made available on the website for participants who require them.
Please remember that the forum is largely a space for peer support. While there will be some regular monitoring of content, it is not a counselling, crisis or one-on-one support service. Important service information, including links to websites and crisis telephone numbers will also be listed on the Ahead for Business website for your information.
