Mental health resource kit for regional NSW workplaces

We spend a third of our life at work, so it's important to make sure our mental health is managed and supported in the workplace.

Whether it’s a café on the coast, or a farm in the west, a mentally healthy workplace is where everyone feels supported, accepted and empowered at work. They are productive, great places to work.

According to the NSW Small Business Commissioner survey, over 60% of small businesses in regional, rural and remote NSW said mental health or stress for themselves or their staff is a business concern.

The NSW Government has launched the Regional Resource Kit with tailored advice and resources for regional businesses, to promote, manage and support mental health at work.

The kit outlines factors that impact workplace wellbeing in regional NSW. For example, separating work and home life, labour shortages, seasonal work and traumatic events. The kit has simple actions for business owners and leaders to create a mentally healthy workplace no matter the region, size or industry.
