New mental health project to help small agribusiness in rural Australia
Everymind is at the AgQuip Field Days in Gunnedah this week to launch a new wellbeing project for small business owners in rural agriculture, forestry and fishing industries.
Part of running a small business is looking after your own mental health, and the mental health of your employees. With the pressures of running a busy small business, this can sometimes be challenging and end up on the back burner. To help make this easier for you, we are excited to announce the expansion of our Business Wellbeing online training based on your feedback.
The updated edition of this popular online training now includes a brand-new training pathway tailored for small business employees, and new content for small business owners. These new elements recognise the different roles that owners and employees play in creating a mentally healthy workplace.
The expansion of the training was based on the feedback of over sixty small business owners across Australia who took part in our 2021 research trial. 100 percent of participants found the training easy to understand, and said they would recommend the training to other small business owners.
In the words of some small business owners, the training was “very informative”, “flexible for different workplace environments” and “brief enough to be doable for everyone.”
Small business owners shared their interest in the expansion of the training for their employees, “I would love to be able to access it not just for small businesses, but a version for my staff.”
There are four 10 - 15 minute modules to complete, which are self-paced and can be saved and resumed at any time. The content of each module is tailored to suit the needs of small business owners and their employees. Throughout the training you will learn about:
